Press Release
Wilmington, NC -- With Summer just around the corner, 9Ten Solutions was ready to kick start the new season with a new charitable opportunity and community involvement. The marketing firm, located in the heart of downtown Wilmington is excited to announce that they had the honor of volunteering to partner with the JDRF Foundation.
The event this year was a black-tie gala auction with entertainment provided where our office had the opportunity to volunteer our time and assistance. All money raised goes directly back to research to finding a cure.
The CEO, Darron Monroe, is committed to attending this event every year in support of his daughter, Marilyn, who was diagnosed with type-one diabetes about four years ago.
“Marilyn was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 4 years ago and it turned our lives upside down. It is like no other and it is a daily challenge. As her parent of course it can be an emotional rollercoaster but we like to be involved in finding a cure. This is why we volunteer at the event each year, so it meant the world having our team there as well!” – Darron Monroe, CEO of 9Ten Solutions.
JDRF works tirelessly to find better treatments, preventions and ultimately, a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through critical research.
JDRF is the leading global organization for type 1 diabetes research. Since it’s founding in 1970, JDRF has funded over $2 billion in research and education focused on type 1 diabetes. JDRF is the only global organization with a strategic plan to bring those living with T1D a flow of life-changing therapies, and ultimately, a cure for the disease. This year the foundation was able to raise $506,000!
