Genesis Acquisitions is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

What we have done

  • A “Skip to content” link is the first item reachable by keyboard on every page.
  • Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, and focus is always visible.
  • Text and background colours meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 (3:1 for large text).
  • All non-decorative images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Headings follow a logical order, with exactly one level-one heading per page.
  • Form fields have visible, programmatically associated labels and clear, spoken error messages.
  • The current page is marked programmatically in navigation, not by colour alone.
  • Entrance animations and the homepage slider respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting.
  • The site reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 px wide and up to 400% zoom.

Our approach

We build accessibility into the site itself rather than layering an accessibility overlay or widget on top. Overlays frequently interfere with the assistive technology people already use and configure; a site that is accessible in its own markup does not need one.

Known limitations

  • The embedded Google Map on our contact page is a third-party component whose accessibility we do not control. The same address is published as selectable text directly above it, and as a link that opens the location in your own map application.
  • The reCAPTCHA challenge on our forms is a third-party component. If it prevents you from contacting us, please email or phone us using the details below and we will respond the same way.

If you encounter a barrier on this website, please tell us what happened, the page you were on, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We treat accessibility reports as a priority and aim to respond within five business days.
