Embark Consulting Inc. is committed to making embarkconsultinginc.com usable by everyone, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology.

Our Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Accessibility is built into the site itself — we do not use an overlay or toolbar widget.

What We Have Done

  • A “Skip to main content” link is the first item on every page.
  • Every page has one main heading, a logical heading order, and landmark regions (header, navigation, main content, footer).
  • Navigation, the job and FAQ accordions, team bios, and all forms work with a keyboard alone, and every interactive element shows a visible focus outline.
  • The current page or section is identified in the menu for screen readers and visually.
  • Text colors meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and interface components).
  • Images have text alternatives; purely decorative images and the outlined section labels are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked, and errors are announced and explained in text.
  • Animations are turned off automatically when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Pages reflow to a single column on small screens and remain usable at 200% zoom.

Known Limitations

  • Google reCAPTCHA on our forms is provided by Google and may not be fully accessible. You can always reach us by email or phone instead of using a form.
